All college list guidance, strategy recommendations, and editing services provided by Infinite Futures are completed by real College Advisors and Former Admissions Officers. AI never replaces human judgment, personalized insight, or our commitment to ethical, student-centered support.
Yes. Infinite Futures offers meet-and-greet sessions with available College Advisors so students and families can find the right fit. We believe a strong advising relationship starts with trust and connection, and that begins on day one.

At Infinite Futures, we believe in writing early and often. Our team members serve as thought partners for students, using a structured curriculum to support brainstorming, identify strong potential topics, and develop clear outlines. Once a student completes a draft, we guide them through the editing and revision process to strengthen clarity, voice, and impact. We never write essays for students.
For students in grades 8 through 11, writing is a core part of the Infinite Futures curriculum. These students receive structured guided journal prompts as a regular and consistent component of their meetings, helping them build strong ideas and an authentic voice over time.

Starting earlier allows us to thoughtfully shape a student’s academic and extracurricular experiences around their individual interests and strengths. For most students, beginning in grade 11 or 12 leaves significantly less time to implement a cohesive, intentional strategy.
Absolutely not. It is never our intention to replace or go against a student’s high school counselor. Instead, our goal is to complement their guidance and provide additional time, perspective, and support that students may not always receive in school due to large caseloads and additional administrative responsibilities.
Members of the Infinite Futures team have worked in high school counseling offices, and we have the utmost respect for the important work counselors do in supporting students and families. We are always excited and willing to partner with high school counseling teams to provide additional support or application review services.
Our Foundations and Comprehensive Packages focus on building the core skills students need to succeed in high school, college, and beyond. These include writing, speaking, listening, storytelling, critical thinking, and problem solving, as well as cultivating gratitude, community engagement, academic curiosity, and a strong sense of purpose. Over time, students will develop practical skills such as conducting research on different higher education institutions, interviewing, and communicating thoughtfully with adults and mentors.
Infinite Futures offers optional support for test preparation and can connect families with tutors when appropriate. While we do not provide day-to-day executive functioning support, we can refer families to trusted partners.
Through our partnership with MaiaLearning, Infinite Futures has access to over one million student data points, including academic and testing metrics as well as application outcomes. We pair this data with real-world college admissions and advising experience to inform thoughtful college list development and student strategy.
Families also receive access to extensive college and career data through the MaiaLearning platform from day one, ensuring transparency and shared understanding throughout the advising process.
At Infinite Futures, Former Admissions Officers (FAOs) work collaboratively with our College Advisors on a daily basis. FAOs and College Advisors communicate each workday and meet at least twice per week to discuss student strategy, family questions, and evolving admissions trends. As families meet regularly with their assigned College Advisor, all major decisions are shaped with FAO input and approval. If a family has a question for an FAO, they will receive a timely and thoughtful response.
Depending on a family’s advising package, students may meet directly with a Former Admissions Officer in grade 10 and/or grade 11. FAOs review all grade 11 student profiles using our proprietary Preparedness Rubric and also review grade 10 students in the Comprehensive Package. FAO involvement increases significantly in grade 11 as college lists and application strategies are finalized, and FAOs play a central role in the essay review and editing process.

Our College Advisors and Former Admissions Officers spent more than a year developing a comprehensive curriculum for our students, covering everything from activities to essay development to interviewing. Our Former Admissions Officers have also created a proprietary Preparedness Rubric based on their reading and committee experience at highly selective and Ivy League institutions. At Infinite Futures, we never use AI to develop college lists, make strategy recommendations, or edit application materials.

No. Our College Advisors and FAOs serve as writing coaches and editors, not ghostwriters. We help students find their voice, develop strong topics, and craft compelling narratives, but the writing must be their own. Submitting work that is not authentically yours is inconsistent with our values and the expectations of colleges nationwide.
Each personal statement includes structured brainstorming sessions, multiple rounds of editing, and final review by a Former Admissions Officer. The number of editing rounds depends on where a student is in the process and what the essay needs.

The course selection meeting is conducted by a Former Admissions Officer who brings direct institutional knowledge of how course rigor is evaluated at selective colleges. This is intentional. Not all course selection guidance carries equal weight, and we want families to receive the most accurate, context-informed advice possible.
The Readiness Package is designed for students entering grades 6 through 8. These are the foundational years when students are developing habits, interests, and identity. The earlier we can provide thoughtful structure and support, the more meaningful the experience becomes. It is designed to build skills and confidence well before high school.
A Former Admissions Officer (FAO) is someone who has worked inside a college or university admissions office, evaluating applications, conducting interviews, traveling to recruit students, and in many cases voting on admissions decisions as a member of a committee. Infinite Futures FAOs have worked at institutions including Yale, Brown, Northwestern, and UC San Diego.
A strategy meeting is a standalone service: a focused, single conversation with a Former Admissions Officer. It is designed for families who want expert, direct guidance without committing to a full advising package. Ongoing advising involves regular meetings, curriculum, tools, and a sustained relationship with a College Advisor and FAO team over time.
Yes. Some families find value in scheduling meetings at key decision points, such as before course registration, at the start of junior year, or as applications open. Each meeting is independent and can be tailored to your current priorities.
Yes. The FAO Strategy Meeting is designed to complement, not replace, existing guidance. It provides a direct perspective from someone who has worked inside admissions offices, a layer of insight that is different from what most independent counselors offer.
