Through our partnership with MaiaLearning, Infinite Futures has access to over one million student data points, including academic and testing metrics as well as application outcomes. We pair this data with real-world college admissions and advising experience to inform thoughtful college list development and student strategy.
Families also receive access to extensive college and career data through the MaiaLearning platform from day one, ensuring transparency and shared understanding throughout the advising process.
At Infinite Futures, we believe in writing early and often. Our team members serve as thought partners for students, using a structured curriculum to support brainstorming, identify strong potential topics, and develop clear outlines. Once a student completes a draft, we guide them through the editing and revision process to strengthen clarity, voice, and impact. We never write essays for students.
For students in grades 8 through 11, writing is a core part of the Infinite Futures curriculum. These students receive structured guided journal prompts as a regular and consistent component of their meetings, helping them build strong ideas and an authentic voice over time.
At Infinite Futures, we believe college advising should be about more than just outcomes. Starting earlier means building skills, confidence, and self-awareness along the way. We prioritize mentorship and provide families with a trusted, expert perspective to help guide the many decisions students make throughout high school.
Starting earlier allows us to thoughtfully shape a student’s academic and extracurricular experiences around their individual interests and strengths. For most students, beginning in grade 11 or 12 leaves significantly less time to implement a cohesive, intentional strategy.
At Infinite Futures, Former Admissions Officers (FAOs) work collaboratively with our College Advisors on a daily basis. FAOs and College Advisors communicate each workday and meet at least twice per week to discuss student strategy, family questions, and evolving admissions trends. As families meet regularly with their assigned College Advisor, all major decisions are shaped with FAO input and approval. If a family has a question for an FAO, they will receive a timely and thoughtful response.
Depending on a family’s advising package, students may meet directly with a Former Admissions Officer in grade 10 and/or grade 11. FAOs review all grade 11 student profiles using our proprietary Preparedness Rubric and also review grade 10 students in the Comprehensive Package. FAO involvement increases significantly in grade 11 as college lists and application strategies are finalized, and FAOs play a central role in the essay review and editing process.
Infinite Futures is a company built by educators. We prioritize real-world expertise, ethical guidance, and a student-centered philosophy. Every member of our team has at least five years of direct experience in college admissions or advising, and our work is grounded in firsthand knowledge of how decisions are made inside admissions offices.
We prioritize the student experience and long-term skill-building alongside admissions outcomes. Our College Advisors work collaboratively with full-time Former Admissions Officers (FAOs), meeting at least twice per week to discuss student strategy and ensure thoughtful, well-informed guidance. Our team has collectively read tens of thousands of applications and our FAOs have served as voting members on admissions committees, giving families clear insight into what colleges are truly looking for.
Infinite Futures is an exclusive partner of MaiaLearning, which we use to deliver our curriculum, manage application materials, and communicate with families. Students and parents each have their own MaiaLearning portal, and families have access from day one to college and career data as well as student metrics.
Our College Advisors and Former Admissions Officers spent more than a year developing a comprehensive curriculum for our students, covering everything from activities to essay development to interviewing. Our Former Admissions Officers have also created a proprietary Preparedness Rubric based on their reading and committee experience at highly selective and Ivy League institutions. At Infinite Futures, we never use AI to develop college lists, make strategy recommendations, or edit application materials.
Finally, our team includes specialists across a wide range of student populations and pathways, including Ivy League and highly selective institutions, the University of California system, science and engineering, international students, domestic students applying abroad, recruited athletes, specialized high school admissions, ROTC, transfer students, QuestBridge applicants, first-generation and low-income students, rural applicants, and more.

Absolutely not. It is never our intention to replace or go against a student’s high school counselor. Instead, our goal is to complement their guidance and provide additional time, perspective, and support that students may not always receive in school due to large caseloads and additional administrative responsibilities.
Members of the Infinite Futures team have worked in high school counseling offices, and we have the utmost respect for the important work counselors do in supporting students and families. We are always excited and willing to partner with high school counseling teams to provide additional support or application review services.

The best insights come from real admissions officers. Booking an FAO Strategy Meeting gives families the rare opportunity to gain access to Infinite Futures’ team of Former Admissions Officers (FAOs).
Our FAOs offer an insider’s view of how top colleges make decisions. After reading tens of thousands of applications for Ivy League, highly selective, and University of California institutions, they know firsthand what makes an applicant rise to the top (and what can hold a student back). They have also read applications for combined medical programs (BS/MD and BA/MD), selective summer programs, and QuestBridge’s National College Match. Meet with an FAO to discuss your student’s application strategy and receive tangible recommendations.
FAO Strategy Meetings are available for students starting in January of grade 10.

These 60-minute meetings are designed to answer family questions and provide tangible application recommendations. During the session, the Former Admissions Officer will review the student’s transcript, area(s) of academic interest, extracurricular list or resume, and any tentative college list the student may already have.
Based on this information, the FAO will provide feedback on the student’s overall profile and offer strategic recommendations related to academics, activities, and college planning. Families will also have the opportunity to ask questions about admissions trends, highly selective institutions, and how students can best position themselves throughout high school. The goal of the meeting is for families to leave with clearer direction and practical next steps.
This meeting is meant to provide general strategy recommendations and insights. It will not include a full Chance Me: Profile Review, which provides written feedback and recommendations for each part of a student’s profile.
Yes, the FAO Strategy Meeting is fully tailored to the student’s academic interests, extracurricular involvement, and long-term goals. Prior to and during the session, the Former Admissions Officer reviews the student’s academic transcript, activities, and any preliminary college interests so the conversation can focus specifically on that student’s profile. This ensures the guidance provided is thoughtful, relevant, and actionable. At Infinite Futures, we do not believe in providing generic advice.
Families are also encouraged to bring questions about their student’s strengths, areas for growth, and the broader admissions process. The goal is to create a collaborative conversation that helps families better understand how their student may be viewed in the admissions process and what steps they can take moving forward.
While there may be some overlap in the materials reviewed prior to the meeting, the FAO Strategy Meeting is designed to go deeper and focus specifically on admissions strategy. The session is led by a Former Admissions Officer who has firsthand experience reviewing applications and participating in admissions committee discussions. The Personalized Strategy Meeting is geared towards identifying opportunities for students to elevate their profile. The FAO Strategy Meeting is focused on how the student’s current profile will be reviewed.
Additionally, rather than serving as an introductory call, this meeting is intended to provide objective, strategy-driven feedback on a student’s profile. Families can expect a candid evaluation of the student’s academic and extracurricular positioning, along with practical recommendations for strengthening their trajectory moving forward.
At Infinite Futures, Former Admissions Officers (FAOs) are full-time team members whose role is not tied to an advising caseload. This allows them to dedicate their time and expertise to evaluating overall student strategy across the entire program. It also means that FAO guidance at Infinite Futures remains objective, focusing solely on providing the most accurate and effective advice for each student.
Our team of FAOs and College Advisors has worked together for years and is excited to collaborate closely on every student’s advising plan. The team meets at least three times per week to discuss student strategy, family questions, and broader admissions trends. Unlike many companies where admissions experts only know the students in their personal caseload, the FAOs at Infinite Futures are familiar with every student in our program.
Drawing on their firsthand knowledge of the admissions landscape and application review process, our FAO team spent over a year developing Infinite Futures’ advising and writing curriculum. They also created our proprietary Preparedness Rubrics, which objectively evaluate a student’s readiness for different types of colleges and universities. These rubrics are based on real admissions metrics and data points. They are used by the Infinite Futures team to conduct student profile reviews as well as provide ongoing, data-informed feedback throughout the advising process.
